Central Urban Transport Management Service

The implementation and operation of the project should not require a significant expansion of staff. The main tasks regarding DASPGTC:

  • Getting permits of electricity use from "city-Energo" for the installation of Information Boards in the required places
  • Acquisition of appropriate PC software in the Service Center, installation and monitoring of the Information Boards status, as well as timely notification of the Service Center about the need for repair
  • Acquisition in the Service Center and distribution of the required number of Cashless Payment Cards
  • Connection of the Transport Company to the Information Display Service
  • Daily automatic collection of information from Transport Companies of the city on passenger flows and development of decisions to improve the service quality. Daily automatic notification of Transport Companies about the requirements for making appropriate adjustments to the traffic schedule on individual routes (if necessary).
  • Remote monitoring of the installed Information Scoreboards operability.

NOTE: one PC is sufficient to support these functions

Transport Company

Implementation and operation of the complex in large Transport Enterprises can lead to the need of additional labor resources - approximately up to 3 people with the duties of the Dispatcher of the Center. The main tasks regarding DASPGTC:

  • Acquisition of appropriate PC software in the Service Center, installation and monitoring of the state of Vehicle Controllers, as well as timely notification of the Service Center about the need to repair equipment
  • Acquisition in the Service Center of the required number of electronic Driver's Personal Cards
  • Daily automatic generation of reports on passenger transportation carried out by this Transport Company and sending them to the Central Service of Management of Urban Transport by E-mail
  • Daily automatic reception of recommendations from the Central Service of Management of Urban Transport on E-mail and operative updating of schedules of movement of the Transport Means, belonging to the given enterprise
  • Remote control of own Vehicles

NOTE: to support these functions, one PC containing the necessary Software and Database is sufficient. Computers dispatchers must have access to the database on the local network.

Service center

It is supposed enough one Service Center in the city, subordinate to the Enterprise-Producer of the DASPGTC. It is preferable to place all services in the same building, including administration, repair service, warehouse, security, etc.

Subdivisions and functions:

Management

  • Ensuring continuous interaction with the Central Service for the Management of Urban Transport and Transport Companies of the city
  • Ordering the Enterprise-Manufacturer of the DASPGTC for the supply of software, hardware, electronic Driver's Personal Cards and Cashless Payment Cards
  • Processing of information on repairs carried out and prompt notification of the Manufacturer Enterprise of the DASPGTC about new requests for repairs

Software Support

  • Installation, training of personnel and maintenance of the software in the Central Service for the Management of Urban Transport and Transport Companies
  • Creation of electronic maps of coordinates of a city transport stops
  • Creation of voice messages and names of stops in the city
  • Creation of electronic descriptors of existing routes of vehicles on the basis of electronic maps of coordinates of a city transport stops

NOTE: electronic maps are transmitted for use by the relevant software to the Central Urban Transport Management Service, which provides them to Transport Companies, connected to the Service.

Installation of Information Scoreboards

Primary installation and connection to the power supply. 2-3 employees of this service should be able to replace parts of Information Boards directly at the place of their installation.

Installation of Vehicle Controllers

Primary installation of the controller and its accessories on the vehicle. 2-5 employees of this service should be able to replace the controller parts directly at the site of their installation.

Repair of Information Boards and Vehicle Controllers

It is planned to do these works on the territory of the Service Center.

Stock

Storage of products and spare parts for Information Boards and Vehicle Controllers, as well as custom-made Driver's Personal Cards and Cashless Transfers Cards.
